Medical imaging and artificial intelligence research at iCARE Lab

Intelligent Computing for Advanced Research in Healthcare

The iCARE Lab is an interdisciplinary research group in the School of Data Science and Analytics at Kennesaw State University. We develop artificial intelligence and data-driven methods for medical imaging and healthcare, bringing together computer vision, medical image analysis, machine learning, and reproducible data science.

Our research focuses on extracting meaningful information from complex medical data, particularly three-dimensional CT and CT angiography images. Our goal is to develop accurate, transparent, and practical AI methods that support healthcare research and, ultimately, better clinical decision-making.

Research Focus

3D Medical Image Analysis

Image enhancement, segmentation, anatomical modeling, centerline extraction, and quantitative analysis of CT and CT angiography data.

Agentic and Multimodal AI

Intelligent workflows that combine imaging, clinical information, and specialized AI tools to support comprehensive and standardized analysis.

Reliable and Reproducible AI
